Monographic collective work entitled “Modern trends in ergonomics and occupational safety. Selected problems” is the result of creative work and research of an international team of researchers, collaborating within the statutory research of the Division of Engineering of Work Environment, at Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at University in the field of development of occupational safety and ergonomics.
The topic of the monograph is divided into four interrelated chapters that cover the latest trends in work safety and ergonomics. There were given the following titles: Part one – Ergonomic system of human – machine – surroundings. Part two – Threats and risks in the work environment. Part three – Modern problems of integrated safety and ergonomics. Part Four – Fire protection of materials in the creation of occupational safety.
The first section provides the key problems of research on workplace ergonomics. The second part is a description of some harmful factors and analysis of occupational risk arising from their influence. In part three the authors observe and analyze new trends in the development of work safety as an integral part of an integrated safety. The book ends with chapter four, which is about issues of fire protection and its impact on working conditions.
To conclude the introduction we draw attention to the great amount of subjects taken issues. Ergonomics, work safety, fire protection and other components of an integrated security are present in every branch of industry, in every workstand and the latest research trends should be the ground for the continuous development of knowledge in this field.
The book that is put into the hands of readers of the book, have a certain advantage. It is certainly the fact that different parts of it may be isolated problems to study, which is advised by the authors.
