A European Vision For Air Passengers
It is very important to ensure a high level of protection for air passengers. Their rights have become one of the most important consumer rights areas since the number of people who ar travelling is growing every year.
Air passenger rights can cover the following fields: People with disabilities and people with reduced mobility; Denied boarding; Cancellation; Long delays; Problems with baggage; Identity of the airline; Package holidays; Price transparency. Ali these fields ar covered by special regulations which ar described in the book. Notwithstanding the current Regulation (EC) 261/2004 is controversial and its provisions are unclear. The major goal of the work is to analyze the most important problems arising from its applications.
Anna Konert Ph.D. is vice-dean of the Faculty of Law and Administration at Lazarski University, Warsaw. She has graduated from the Faculty of Law at Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toru, the Faculty of International Relations, Jean Monnet Centre of European Studies in Toru, and the Faculty of History at Universite Paris XII in Paris. She was a scholar at Sorbonne University in Paris (Pantbeon-Assas Paris II) and received scholarship from the Minister of Education and Sport. She has authored several monographs, including Odpowiedzialno cywilna przewonika lotniczego (Liability of a carrier in European and International law), Warszawa: Oficyna Wolters Kluwer Polska, 2010, based on her Ph.D. thesis at the Faculty of Law at Sorbonne University and Nicolaus Copernicus University.
Her area of expertise covers aviation law. She participated in numerous international conferences, European and international aviation law trainings. Anna Konert worked in a legal department of Air France in New York, a French law rm Maitre Le Moux in Paris, a German law firm Gohmann in Hanover and a Spanish-Portuguese law firm Raposo-Bernardo in Warsaw. She is fluent in English, French and Spanish and she also knows Tlalian.
